Safety for Breakfast in Albury

Our current series of breakfast briefings on the theme of 'Safety for Breakfast' kicked off in Albury on the first day of winter with about 30 managers showing a very strong interest in workplace safety issues. The presenter was our Corporate Safety Manager, Kevin Bassett.

"Diligent managers in Albury face a universal challenge, working out how to go about finding and implementing the right information in the mountains of OHS guidelines and legislation. Just because they want to do the right thing doesn’t mean it’s easy for them" says Kevin.

There was a lot of interest among the Albury managers about bullying and harassment in particular as an OHS issue.

“Bullying and Harassment is right at the top of the list for Worksafe and Workcover, it’s option number one on their menu when you telephone them. The managers who came to our Albury breakfast were particularly interested in this issue” Kevin said.
